Lola Petitbon
A dramedy creator with a deep-seated love for the stage, Lola found her true calling behind the scenes after training in Dramatic Arts at Cours Florent, Paris. Preferring the crafting of characters and stories over performing, she pursued screenwriting at UCLA. Her talent quickly shone through, earning nominations in the final rounds of prestigious contests, such as Screencraft Drama Competition, Big Apple Film Festival Screenplay Competition, Launchpad Pilot Competition, and more.
Her directorial debut came with a fashion film showcased at New York Fashion Week in 2019, highlighting the traditional craft of women weavers in Bhutan. Following this, she directed her first narrative short, "Suicide Rock," last year.
Lola's work is characterized by her commitment to represent the underrepresented, infused with humor, and the humanistic insight she gained from studying legendary dramatists. Her approach as a writer and producer melds a reverence for classical forms—be it theater, literature, or dance—with a fresh perspective on modern issues and societal trends. Always striving to evolve, she remains exploratory and ventures beyond her comfort zone.
Currently, Lola is developing one of her TV series projects with producer Daniel Dreifuss (All Quiet On The Western Front) and shooting her new short film.
